Hair Transplant Surgery Step-By-Step
Hasson & Wong perform follicular unit transplantation where the naturally occuring bundles (follicular units) are removed from the donor area at the back of the head. The donor area is a crescent shaped region that is just below the occipital bone at the at the back of the head and extending somewhat to the sides in an arc shape. Hair transplant patients are given local anaesthetic prior to donor area removal and at intervals throughout the procedure. The first needle of freezing is a pinch not unlike the pinch of a needle at the dentist.
